Alexandria terrace

Architect: Andrew Burns Architect
Completed in November 2012 taking 6 months in total

This home was designed and built at the same time as next door using the same Architect and Genuine Building Services as the Builder. The front rooms of the ground floor and first floor of this inner west terrace were retained. The first floor required support while the the original ground floor extension was demolished. This was done by supporting the external double brick wall of the upstairs bathroom while the new open plan living and kitchen were constructed.

The open plan living and kitchen had large rear aluminium doors, a roof window over the kitchen allowing in lots of natural light and bifold doors leading to an internal courtyard. A custom made garden shed was installed in the courtyard along the fenceline for storage and a water tank was installed.

Our client is a keen organic gardener and we fenced off this area and protected it from contamination during the entire construction.
